Desnoyer wins library contest grand prize

From a record 452 entries, Merrill’s Pat Desnoyer won the grand prize in T.B. Scott Library’s Adult Winter Read-In 2014.
Pat won a prize basket valued at more than $110, including items donated by Hardee’s, Hugo’s Pizza, Johnson Gifts and Home Décor, Young’s Drug Store, Auto Jockeys, Ye Olde Sweet Shoppe, Family Chiropractic Clinic, Les & Jim’s Lincoln Lanes, Culver’s, and the Friends of T.B. Scott Library.

A total of 134 readers participated by submitting entry forms for each five books they read or listened to.  A total of 2,260 read or listened-to books were recorded. Fifty entrants won prizes.

Thirty-six participants were new to the library’s adult reading contests. “It’s great to see new readers participate in our contests, because they’re designed to encourage reading as well as reward those who use the library,” noted Don Litzer, Assistant Director and Adult Winter Read-In coordinator.
If you missed the Winter Read-In, the next contest begins after Memorial Day – the 2014 Lincoln County Reads Adult Summer Program. Learn more about the library and its programs at www.tbscottlibrary.org, “T.B. Scott Free Library” on Facebook, or by calling 715-536-7191.
