On Saturday, March 1, at about 3:54 p.m. Lincoln County dispatch took a report of a vehicle fire on Hwy. 51 northbound, south of the 208 mile marker. When deputies arrived on scene, the vehicle was fully engulfed. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. No one was injured.
Hwy. 51 northbound lanes were shut down until the fire could be extinguished. It is believed a fire started in the engine compartment of the vehicle. Pine River Fire Department and the Lincoln County Highway Department assisted the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
