Faye Arlene Andersen

Faye Arlene Andersen, age 66, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Viera Hospital in Melbourne. 
She was born July 29, 1947 in Merrill to the late Lawrence and Della (Anderson) Johnson. On Nov. 3, 1965 she and Kenneth Andersen were united in marriage in Milburn, IL. He survives.
Faye was a 1965 graduate of Merrill Senior High School. After she and Ken were married she became a home maker. Faye enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and relatives. She loved decorating and enjoyed the nature and wildlife around her home. Her favorite past times were reading and fishing. Faye loved her family dearly and enjoyed special time spent with them at reunions and picnics. She was a big fan of Rusty Wallace and “The Blue Deuce.” She loved her yellow lab, Molly. Faye and Ken became “snowbirds” many years ago, spending their winters in Florida. She was a former member of Antioch Women’s Club. Faye was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Pine River.
Survivors include her husband: Kenneth Andersen, Melbourne, FL; two sons: Ken Andersen Jr., Genoa City, WI, and Jeff Andersen, Redding, CA; daughter: Heidi (John) Draper, Antioch, IL; five grandchildren: Jacob and Noah Andersen, Genoa City, Shawn Draper, Antioch, IL, and Rachel and Eric Andersen, Redding, CA; two sisters: Sharon (Ron) Pankow and Rita (Jerry) Wendt, both of Merrill; brother: Daniel (Lori) Johnson, Irma; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lauren “Ole” Johnson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Waid Funeral Home. Pastor Sue Christian officiated.  Burial followed at the Chat Cemetery.
