Clinical herbalist, Holly Behrens, M.S., has started her practice, Squashblossom & Ginger Herbal Apothecary & Clinic, in downtown Merrill. Officially opened as of July 17, Holly is currently seeing clients by appointment Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the lower level of Johnson’s Pharmacy and Gifts located at 1021 E. Main St.
Holly recently graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health, earning a master’s of science degree in Herbal Medicine. During this program, Holly completed over 150 hours in a faculty-supervised clinic working with clients to achieve their health and wellness goals. Now Holly has brought her clinical experience and knowledge back to her hometown, hoping to serve her community by offering in-depth one-on-one herbal consultations, herbal medicine workshops and wellness classes, and unique, hand-crafted herbal products. As a clinical herbalist, Holly truly believes that herbal medicine offers a unique pathway to a life of health and vitality.
