Stretch of County Rd. C under reconstruction

Construction on County Rd. C for approximately 1.9 miles in the town of Schley began June 5 and should be completed by mid-August.
The project consists of improvements to County Rd. C from Hwy. 17 to County Rd. G. including pulverizing and resurfacing the existing pavement, installing beam guards, replacing all culverts (including the culverts at Barnes Creek) and pavement markings. The project is funded by using 20% local funds and 80% federal funds.
The roadway will be closed to through traffic during construction. A signed detour route is provided using Hwy. 17, Hwy. 64 and County Rd. X. Lincoln County will maintain access to residents, businesses, and farms adjacent to the project during construction.
