Eva Mae Morris, 91, of Merrill, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at Pine Crest Nursing Home.
She was born Oct. 3, 1920 in Flint, MI to the late George & Rose (Murphy) Wallace. On Oct. 19, 1940 she married Leo Morris in Pontiac, MI, a marriage lasting over 60 years. He preceded her in death in April of 2002.
Eva was a home maker. She enjoyed sewing, square dancing with her husband, Leo, and gardening. Eva was very proud of her gardens, especially her beautiful roses, and she enjoyed all kinds of flowers. While the girls were younger, she enjoyed their annual family vacations. Eva played on a bowling league with Leo and many of their friends. After Leo retired, they started taking winter trips to Texas where they eventually moved full time.
Survivors include her daughter, Nola (Jerry) Wilson; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo, and daughter, Nancy Moore.
