Beverly J. Bauer, age 69, of the Town of Maine, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
Beverly was born March 8, 1943, in Merrill, daughter of the late Albert and Lavila (Porath) Steckling. She married Robert W. Bauer on May 4, 1963, in Merrill. He survives.
Beverly retired in 2009 from the Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Merrill. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Town of Maine. Beverly enjoyed sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Bauer, Merrill; daughters, Jane Bauer, Merrill, Penny Bauer, Marshfield, Jean Bauer, Merrill, and Leea (Jeremy) Behr, Mosinee; son, Terry Bauer, Merrill; granddaughter, Reggin Bauer, Marshfield; and sisters, Joyce Teeples and Lorraine Steckling, both of Merrill, Carol Floyd, Ogema, and Julaine (Robert) Laak and Audrey Steckling, both of Merrill. Besides her parents, Beverly is preceded in death by an infant brother, Dale Steckling; and a brother in law, Kenny Floyd.
The funeral was Saturday, March 17, at Faith Lutheran Church, Town of Maine. The Rev. Alden J. Beversdorf officiated. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery, Town of Maine.
