Letha M. Brady, age 84, of Merrill, formerly of Aurora, Colorado, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Letha was born May 17, 1927, in Ellis, Kansas, daughter of the late Ralph and Louise (Heinke) Kendle. She married Robert L. Brady on May 10, 1954. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1998. Letha had worked as a Registered Nurse in Salina, Kansas for six years. She then was stayed at home with her children. Letha was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Merrill. She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, and writing poetry. In her earlier years, she enjoyed camping from Kansas to Colorado. Letha’s family will remember her as a “go-getter”.
Survivors include her two daughters, Jan Brady, of Loveland, Colorado, and Sandy (Joe Whitehead) Brady, of Aurora, Colorado; one son, Robert (Jill) Brady, of Merrill; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, George (Sharon) Kendle, of Plano, Texas, and David (Regan) Kendle, of Santa Monica, California. Letha was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant brother; and her sister, Pauline Sitz.
There will be a graveside committal service at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
