Vicky E. Schroeder, age 55, of Merrill, died Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Vicky was born July 21, 1956, in Corona, California, daughter of Pastor Jack and Edie Jane (Benson) Shook. She married Leonard J. Schroeder on July 27, 1979, in Merrill. He survives. Vicky was a homemaker who took pride in raising her family and maintaining her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends; reading and studying her Bible; listening to music; singing; and being of service to others. Vicky helped raise her twin grandchildren, Jonathan and Ethan, since they were born. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church, Irma.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard J. Schroeder, Merrill; her parents, Pastor Jack and Edie Jane Shook, Irma; three children, Lisa (Joshua) Schroepfer, Gleason, Timothy Schroeder, Merrill, and Rebecca (husband, David Larrabee) Schroeder, Wausau; nine grandchildren, Caleb, Jacob, Hannah, Grace, and Emma Schroepfer, twins Jonathan and Ethan Schroeder, and Elijah and Eric Larrabee; three sisters, Stephanie (John) Goertz, Irma, Deborah Shook, Dunbar, WI, and Carrie (Shawn) Pierschalla, Irma; and two brothers, Frederic (Debra) Shook, Illinois, and James (Penny) Shook, Weston.
Vicky’s funeral service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill. Her father, Pastor Jack Shook, will officiate. Burial will be in Chat Cemetery, Town of Birch, Lincoln County. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, and again after 9:30 A.M. Wednesday all at Taylor-Stine Funeral Home.
