November 12

10 a.m.- an employee at an E. Main St. business was cited for theft after the owners saw the employee pocket money rather than ring it up in the register. The owners did not wish to pursue criminal charges, a citation was issued.

11:41 a.m.- two-vehicle crash at E. 5th & and Douglas Sts. A passenger in one of the vehicles complained of neck pain but was not transported by ambulance. One driver was cited for operating after suspension and the other driver was warned for failure to yield right of way at an uncontrolled intersection.

5:54 p.m.- a female came to the police dept. to report her mother had received a check in the mail that the bank deemed to be fake. The check came from Canada in the amount of $3850. The check was destroyed.

9:41 p.m.- male reported he had been “jumped” and struck by another male while walking. Further investigation will be completed with possible citations or arrests.

10:04 p.m.- noise complaint at a Jackson St. address. Contact made and three people at the residence warned for the loud noise; one male cited for underage drinking.

A 55-year-old female taken into custody in the 400 block of Wisconsin St. due to a violation of her probation.

A 46-year-old male taken into custody at a tavern after finding out he had a warrant from Marathon County.

November 13

6:40 p.m.- male arrested for probation warrant at E. 7th St. residence.

10:33 p.m.- anonymous report of someone smoking inside W. Main St. tavern. Officers located the male who was cited for underage drinking and warned for smoking inside the tavern.

November 14

Two different people from locations in the 6th ward reported that bikes were stolen from their yards during the overnight hours between 11-13-10 and 11-14-10.

Merrill Police stopped a vehicle because the registered owner had 2 warrants for his arrest, and had a revoked driver’s status. The 22 YO registered owner was driving the vehicle and was cited for Operating After Revocation, and arrested on the 2 valid warrants.

November 15

8:41 a.m.- officers investigated a report of a male screaming on S. Cooper St. Officers did not locate any disturbance but spoke with a few individuals.

8:25 p.m.- officers investigated a bike theft complaint in the 100 blk of S. State St. One suspect was identified and the investigation is ongoing.

November 16

An officer investigated a counterfeit note which was received this past weekend by a vendor and flagged during the bank deposit. A probable location of the transfer was determined and the investigation continues.

1:30 p.m.- a report of a violation of court order was received. It was investigated later in the same day when the complainant was available. Statements will be taken and the matter will be reviewed for possible charges.

4 p.m.- a report of a stolen snowblower from the 2600 blk of E. Main St. The snowblower was taken from a garage between 11-7-10 and 11-10-10.

5 p.m.- a report of a hit and run to a vehicle parked in the 100 blk of Court St. The crash occurred between 1- 5 p.m.

5:40 p.m.- a property damage two vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of E. 6th & Sales sts. The crash investigation continues with possible enforcement action to follow.
