Motorists can expect to encounter daily northbound single lane closures on US 51 between the Marathon/Lincoln County line and North Star Drive beginning Monday, Aug. 9. Lane closures will be removed at the end of each working day and by noon on Fridays.
The lane closures are necessary so crews can perform bridge painting.
Work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Friday, Aug. 20.
Motorists should also be alert for slow moving vehicles, construction equipment, and turning trucks within the work zone. To avoid any potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.
The work is subject to change based on favorable weather conditions and construction status.
